About Ayurveda
Ayurveda means “life knowledge” in Sanskrit, and is the sister science to yoga. Ayurveda is the ancient practice of traditional East Indian medicine and is in direct alignment with yogic philosophy, utilizing the wisdom of the elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether.
Using the techniques of Asana (body movement), Mantra (repetitive sound), Pranayama (breath control), along with dietary and lifestyle recommendations, Ayurveda provides a unique approach to aid in holistic well-being.
Marma Therapy & Pranic Healing
Marma means “vital point”, whereas Prana means “life energy” in Sanskrit.
A Marma Therapy and Pranic healing session is essentially accessing these vital points to balance the life energy in and around your physical body. This practice may be described as an acupressure oil massage combined with energy healing. It is designed to balance the body mind and spirit, is non-invasive and will have an overall calming effect.
Ayurvedic Marma Therapy & Pranic Healing Treatments
Customized Marma therapy treatments include a brief discussion of your current emotional, mental and physical state to help determine the treatment. You may choose to add on an Ayurvedic assessment to your session if you choose.
