Ayurveda means “life knowledge” in Sanskrit, and is the sister science to yoga. Ayurveda is the ancient practice of traditional East Indian Medicine and is in direct alignment with yogic philosophy, utilizing the wisdom of the elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether.
Using the techniques of Asana (body movement), Mantra (repetitive sound), Pranayama (breath control), along with oil treatment therapies, marma therapy, dietary and lifestyle recommendations, Ayurveda provides a unique approach to aid in holistic well-being.
Ayurveda uses the ancient knowledge of the elements to help understand human nature and it’s cycles. When one can better understand the self, it is easier to live in harmony with the earth, and harmony with the self.
