My approach to teaching yoga is that every individual is unique, and has specific needs, abilities, limitations, and experience. My yoga classes and one-on-one sessions will meet you where you are, whether you are looking for a practice that is a challenge and strengthening, calming and relaxing, or all of the above. Each class or personal session will be catered to your personal needs.
My personal yoga practice began in 2001, and has guided me to teach in an intuitive, holistic way. My yoga training in Northern India gave me a deeper appreciation for the nature of yoga as a spiritual practice, and as a way of life. As I continue to study yoga and Ayurveda (sister science to yoga and traditional East Indian medicine), I am able to offer each client and student a practice that is fulfilling and balancing on all levels of existence, mind, body, emotions and spirit.
I incorporate Ayurvedic principles into my classes and sessions that are supportive and nurturing, in an easy to understand way.
